What I like in InstaForex contests is restrictions on the number of lots and trades opened at the same time. This bars accidental participants from winning a prize. There’s also another rule, “To win a prize, each of the winners should meet the following condition: at least 5% of the total profit has to be generated as a result of trading GBP/USD and GBP/JPY.” If such conditions are not set out in the rules, the contest looks like a lottery, but not a competition.

The contest was captivating. However, I think I won thanks to good luck. Amid high volatility on the pound sterling, I determined the right trend and followed it. The most exciting was the rivalry with another successful trader who was close on the heels. The contest was approaching the final hour, the midnight of Moscow time. Volatility was obviously low. I won by a narrow margin of several pips. I trusted my intuition and experience. So I closed the deal at the right time, gaining the required balance in my account. I study the MQL4 programming language and try to write expert advisors. InstaForex contests provide me with a good practice, new experience, and knowledge of trading. I wish all beginners and skilled traders good luck and big achievements!

I don’t take part in contests frequently. I consider them to be a great facility for sharpening my trading skills.
